Research published in The American Journal of Gastroenterology found activated carbon underwear to be the most effective method of removing flatulence odours. Get the most out of your Shreddies

Shreddies are not magic, they work for a reason. If your Shreddies fit correctly and you ensure that your wind passes through the activated carbon panel, all foul-smelling odours will be removed.

How you stand or sit and how you pass wind all need consideration to get the most out of your underwear, however your posture is not as important when wearing our flatulence filtering jeans, pyjamas or undershorts because there is much less chance of flatulence escaping without passing through the carbon.

Ensure there are no gaps around the waistband or leg openings of your underwear. Make sure the fit is taut against the skin. To avoid gas escaping around the filter we recommend that you stand with your legs together and try to let your wind out slowly. When sitting, keep your knees together so that flatulence escapes through the carbon panel.
